Attorney General's Investigations Division


The Attorney General's Investigations Division's main purpose is to investigate criminal offenses committed by state officers and employees, to conduct fraud investigations as required by NRS Chapter 228 and to assist in all other investigations as permitted by law.


    The Investigations Division operates with a broad base of authority. There are approximately 40 authorized peace officer positions in Las Vegas, Reno, and Carson City. The division includes General Investigations, Worker's Compensation, Insurance Fraud, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Missing Children, Tobacco, Medicaid Fraud Control Investigators, formulation of the Attorney Generals Office Safety Committee and the Nevada Identity Theft Program.
