Violence Against Women Formula Grants

The STOP Violence Against Women Program encourages the development and implementation of more effective law enforcement, court, and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women such as sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. It also supports the development and enhancement of victim services in cases involving those crimes. The funding for the STOP program originates with the federal Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) authorized in 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010.
