Attorney General Masto to Host Sex Trafficking Solutions Summit

    Sex Trafficking Survivor and Author, Holly Smith, to Provide Luncheon Keynote Address

      Las Vegas, NV – On Thursday, May 29, Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto will convene law enforcement officials, child welfare experts, treatment providers, and community leaders to hold “Solutions Summit 1.0” to address sex trafficking in Nevada. The conference will focus on developing solutions regarding a coordinated community response to sex trafficking, including awareness and prevention, and treatment and services for victims.

        The Summit will feature a key note address from Holly Smith, sex trafficking survivor and author of “Walking Prey: How America’s Youth are Vulnerable to Sex Slavery”. Holly, a consultant for AMBER Alert and guest on the Dr. Oz show, has spoken across the country about the commercial sexual exploitation of children and is an advocate for stronger laws to prevent trafficking and protect victims.

          Holly will read from her book and share her personal story of having been trafficked beginning at the age of 14 in Atlantic City, N.J. Holly will also describe her experience with law enforcement and service providers, as well as her insight and perspectives for professionals in this field.
