Nevada Attorney General Laxalt and Office of Nevada Consumer Affairs Host Consumer Fraud Prevention Fair

    WHO:  Office of the Nevada Attorney General and the Office of Nevada Consumer Affairs.

      WHAT:  The fair will address Nevadans’ rights as consumers, how they can avoid falling victim to scams and the resources available for victims. The fair will include informational tables and resources for consumers, a presentation on scams and a fraud prevention panel discussion with representatives from the Office of the Attorney General, the Office of Nevada Consumer Affairs, the Financial Guidance Center and the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program.

        WHERE:  The fair will take place on the first floor of the Grant Sawyer State Office Building at 555 E. Washington Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

          WHEN:  Representatives from state agencies will have information and resources related to fraud prevention available from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. A scam alert presentation will be given from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a fraud prevention panel discussion from 2 – 3 p.m.
