Nevada Attorney General Releases Nevada Council for the Prevention of Domestic Violence Biennial Report

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto released today the Nevada
Council for the Prevention of Domestic Violence’s (NCPDV) 2015 Biennial Legislative Report. The report gives a legislative update on domestic violence in rural Nevada and the resources available to Nevadans residing in those areas.

    “The 2015 biennial report provides a detailed assessment of the council efforts to prevent and eliminate domestic violence in this State,” said Masto.

      The NCPDV’s mission is to combat domestic violence through awareness, legislation and the support of agencies involved in the fight against domestic violence. The NCPDV is comprised of 30 individuals from across Nevada that represents various disciplines related to domestic violence advocacy. The council was created to review issues related to the administration of the criminal justice system in rural Nevada that involve domestic violence, and to prepare and submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Nevada Legislature.
