Attorney General’s Office of Military Legal Assistance and Nevada Legal Services Host Free Wills and Powers of Attorney Workshops for Nevada Veterans

    AG Laxalt to Host Upcoming Workshop

      WHO: Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt, the Office of Military Legal Assistance and Nevada Legal Services.

        WHAT: The Attorney General’s Office of Military Legal Assistance is hosting free, collaborative workshops with Nevada Legal Services dedicated to drafting wills and powers of attorney for Nevada veterans. The Office of Military Legal Assistance is the nation’s first attorney general-led, public-private partnership offering our military communities access to pro bono civil legal services. 

        Attorneys from the Office of the Nevada Attorney General will be available to draft wills and powers of attorney. Representatives from Nevada Legal Services will be available to discuss legal issues relative to family law, bankruptcy, consumer issues and landlord tenant/public benefits access and denials. Nevada Department of Veterans Services officers will also be present to answer and address benefit needs.

          WHERE: The upcoming workshop will take place in the Houston Ballroom of the Texas Station at 2101 N. Texas Lane, North Las Vegas, NV 89032.

            WHEN: Attorneys will be available to assist veterans from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Attorney General Laxalt will be available for interviews at 11 a.m.
