"Today's decision by the Arizona Supreme Court is an attack on the bodily autonomy of women. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes called the ruling an "affront to freedom" and nothing could be more true. This is an entirely predictable side effect of overturning a constitutional right and ushering in a system of patchwork laws often written and enacted by extremists. Arizonans dismayed by today's ruling should know this - if your needs bring you to Nevada, Nevada will protect you. We expect our health care providers will see an influx of women whose access to abortion care was restricted by this ruling. Nevada will welcome these women, who deserve to make decisions about their body and their needs in consultation with their doctor and their doctor only."
