Supreme Court Hears Arguments on Nationwide Access to Mifepristone

Mar. 26, 2024

Today, the Supreme Court heard arguments on whether or not to restrict access to mifepristone and medication abortion nationwide. AG Ford has joined multiple coalitions of attorneys general urging the Supreme Court not to restrict access to mifepristone. Doing so would be disastrous for access to safe abortion care and miscarriage management.

"This is merely the newest attack on bodily autonomy by activists who wish to impose their beliefs on others. Reproductive health care decisions are the business of the patient and their doctor — the opinions of political activists should not matter."

– Attorney General Aaron D. Ford
