Attorney General Laxalt Issues Statement on Anniversary of 1 October

October 1, 2018

Carson City, NV – Today, Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt issued the following statement on the anniversary of the Route 91 Music Festival tragedy:

"One year ago today, a cowardly attack was met with great strength and heroism. Las Vegans, Nevadans, Americans and the whole world turned their eyes to Las Vegas, expecting to see a community defeated by tragedy and grief. Instead, we showed a community strengthened and united. Today, just as we did last year, we stand together as Nevadans remembering that we are stronger than the evil this attack embodied. And today, as we should every day, we take the time to express gratitude to our law enforcement, first responders and service providers who continue to support those in need. We continue to pray for those who lost brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers in this senseless attack. We must also pray for our neighbors who provided comfort to them in the aftermath. The tragedy we witnessed and the grief we continue to endure changed us forever, but we will forever be #VegasStronger."
