Attorney General Ford to Host Statewide Human Trafficking Law Enforcement Summits

    WHO:  Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Ombudsman for Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking Nicole O’Banion, law enforcement, prosecutors, social workers and community health nurses.

      WHAT:  The Office of the Nevada Attorney General will be hosting two Human Trafficking Law Enforcement Summits to address emerging trends and research related to human trafficking, techniques being used by law enforcement to eradicate trafficking from our communities, and resources available to victims and survivors.

        WHERE:  In Las Vegas, members of the media are invited to attend the Summit held at the Center at 401 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89101. In Carson City, members of the media are invited to attend the Summit held at Western Nevada College at 2201 W. College Parkway, Carson City, NV 89703.

          WHEN:  The Las Vegas Summit will be held on Monday, October 7th and will be open to the media from 8 to 11:40 a.m. Members of the media will have an interview opportunity with Attorney General Ford and Ombudsman O’Banion immediately afterwards. The Carson City Summit will be held on Tuesday, October 8th from 8 to 10:50 a.m. Due to space limitations, the venue can only accommodate print media. Members of the media may have an interview opportunity with Attorney General Ford and Ombudsman O’Banion upon request.

            NOTES:  The Summits in both locations are at full capacity. Due to the nature of the information being shared and limitations on space, media RSVPs are required. Media who plan to be in attendance must RSVP to Monica Moazez and Vicki Beavers via email at MMoazez@ag.nv.gov and VBeavers@ag.nv.gov no later than Saturday, October 5th by 5:00 p.m.
