AG Aaron D. Ford Hosts Third Justice & Injustice Panel: Law
Enforcement and Community Relations

Attorney General Aaron D. Ford is hosting a panel discussion with Elko PD Lt.
Mike Palhegyi, Henderson PD Chief Thedrick Andres, North Las Vegas PD Chief
Pamela Ojeda, Reno PD Chief and Acting City Manager Jason Soto and Pershing
County Sheriff Jerry Allen.
WHAT:
AG Ford will be
facilitating a discussion with Nevada’s law enforcement agencies relating to
the death of George Floyd and other deaths around the country resulting from
law enforcement action. The panel will discuss what local police departments
are doing and will do to address this issue, and how we can improve law
enforcement and community relations in the wake of recent events.

The briefing will include a series of
questions posed to all panelists. Members of the media are invited to submit
questions in advance via email to MMoazez@ag.nv.gov and AForest@ag.nv.gov . The deadline
for media to submit questions is Friday June 12th at 3PM. Please
include both email addresses in your correspondence. Members of the public will
be provided an opportunity to tune in and pose questions in real time.
