Nevada Medicaid provides payment to contracted medical equipment suppliers who furnish medical supplies or equipment to Medicaid recipients. Medicaid covers standard medical equipment that meets the basic need of the Medicaid recipient. Examples of medical supplies could include diapers, gloves, bladder pads, bed pads, colostomy bags and pull-ups. Examples of medical equipment could include walkers, oxygen tanks, and canes. The MFCU can investigate and confirm information that the Medicaid provider was not providing the supplies/equipment or was billing for a more expensive item then what was actually provided to the Medicaid recipient.
