Nevada has a False Claims Act (FCA) under NRS 357. FCA cases can be brought by whistleblowers that have identified fraudulent practices resulting in false claims made to a State or local government, which includes Nevada Medicaid. FCA cases can also be brought by the MFCU alone if fraud is identified through an investigation. Whistleblowers can obtain a percentage of the recovery for FCA cases provided they obtain legal counsel and file a FCA case that then incorporates State or local government.
