Nevada Attorney General Announces the Nevada Council for the Prevention of Violence Survivor Scholarship

Las Vegas, NV – Today, Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt announced that the Nevada Council for the Prevention of Violence is offering a scholarship to advance the educational goals for survivors of domestic violence. The scholarship is funded by a grant awarded by The Michael Bolton Charities.

    “The scholarship will give survivors of domestic violence the opportunity to pursue an education with financial assistance,” said Laxalt.

      Five scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to applicants who:

        • Are currently enrolled or will enroll in a college, university or trade school
        • Submit a letter of recommendation in support of their need and adversity from a professional person or someone knowledgeable about his or her experience with domestic violence
        • Address the following in his or her personal statement: How will this scholarship fund help you to reach your educational goal?
