WHO:
Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford is hosting a panel discussion comprised of law enforcement and community leaders including: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) of Las Vegas President Roxann McCoy, Reno Community Leader Dr. Norris Dupree, Jr., and Founder and Pastor of the Renaissance Fellowship in Las Vegas Dr. D. Edward Chaney.
WHAT:
AG Ford will be facilitating a discussion with law enforcement, community leaders and members of the public on issues related to policing. The discussion will take a special focus on the death of George Floyd and the recent protests in Nevada and around the country.
WHEN:
The discussion will take place on Sunday, May 31st at 2:00 p.m. It will be live streamed to the Nevada Attorney General's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NVAttorneyGeneral/
NOTES:
The briefing will include a series of questions posed to all panelists. Members of the media are invited to submit questions in advance via email at MMoazez@ag.nv.gov Members of the public are encouraged to tune in for the live stream, and will be able to pose questions in real time via the Facebook comment function.
