Carson City, NV – Attorney General
Aaron D. Ford released the following statement after being notified he has been
selected as a “Living Legend” by the National Bar Association Region IX. The
award honors individuals whose life and career demonstrates the highest degree of
excellence in the legal field, a character beyond reproach and an outstanding
commitment to the community of African American attorneys in the Western Region
and community at large.
“As
Nevada’s first African American attorney general, I’m truly heartened to
receive this honor from the National Bar Association,” said AG Ford. “In all that I do, I keep Nevada families in mind,
regardless of their race, age, creed or socioeconomic status. I believe that
the job of my office is justice, and my mission as attorney general is to
pursue justice at every opportunity on behalf of Nevadans. I hope to continue
make Nevada proud.”
