Nevada Attorney General’s Office Celebrates 18th Annual National Consumer Protection Week

     AG Laxalt Encourages Nevadans to Protect Themselves Against Scams

      Carson City, NV – Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt and his Bureau of Consumer Protection are joining state attorneys general throughout the country to celebrate National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW), March 6-12, 2016.

        As part of the 18th annual NCPW, AG Laxalt urges Nevadans to learn more about how to protect themselves against scams and theft of private information. Daily consumer alerts will be issued from Monday through Friday of National Consumer Protection Week, addressing ways Nevadans can avoid common scams reported throughout the state and country.

          Topics for this year’s NCPW include scams and risks associated with and credit and debit chip cards, crowdfunding and technical support. An alert will also be issued to inform Nevadans of how to file a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General.
