Attorney General Laxalt’s Office Works with FBI and LVMPD to Augment Investigative Resources in Wake of Tragic Attack

October 6, 2017

Carson City, NV – Today, Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt issued the following statement on the newest developments from his office and a newly formed partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD):

“After collaborating with our law enforcement partners this week, every available investigator in my office has been working at the crime scene since yesterday to sort through all of the personal effects leftover from a crowd of over 22,000 terrified concertgoers. These efforts will be made until everything has been sorted through in order to assist the FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in their ongoing investigation to bring justice and solace to our many victims, families and friends. I am proud to lead an organization that has a deep interest in helping its communities, and continue to be deeply grateful for the tireless efforts of my law enforcement partners during this difficult time. Though this senseless act of violence has taken many valued members of our community and abroad, it has also strengthened our community bonds and law enforcement partnerships.”
